How we came to be here.
We have a beautiful Garden and Park right on our door-step and they should be places to be enjoyed by all age groups old and young. During Discussions about the Skate Park in Manor Gardens people complained about the state of Manor Gardens. We decided to try to form a Friends of Manor Gardens and Gildredge Park Group to work to restore the Gardens and reduce vandalism. When we arranged the first AGM we had no idea how many people would come….... We were delighted by the turn-out and eagerness of everybody there to help in any way they could.
Our aims
The main aim of our society is to improve the look and atmosphere of Manor Gardens and Gildredge Park.
The Gardens are for everybody
young and old
to sit and stare,
to feel and be amazed
at the beauty of this world.
The Park is for sport and play,
and children running around
teenagers playing football
picnics and enjoying the sun
